100 yard interception return

This is my video from Section V of Davis-Wade Stadium on Saturday November 10, 2007 of the game changing interception thrown by John Parker Wilson. Mississippi State's Anthony Johnson returned it 100 yards, putting State ahead 10-9. They never looked back.

Coming from a State fan, that is just gorgeous. Sorry it wasn't more of a positive for you guys. Good luck the rest of the season Tide.

Thanks so much Kyle. We need the luck, esp against AU!

Mike - Thanks for posting that video. I know it stings pretty bad but as a State grad, it really is a treasure to see the stadium erupt like that. It has been TOO long since Scott Field had that much positive emotion -- thanks for capturing it and sharing it even though you didn't have to.

It was obvious from the woohoos that the State fans around me were having a large time....

no prob...you're welcome...

Beautiful. It's been said before, but thanks for taking and posting that video.

Thanks for posting that... it does a better job of conveying the emotion than the televised replays I've seen.

Hey Mike,

Thanks for posting this. If I had been there and Alabama had done this to my Bulldogs, that phone would have ended up in about thirty pieces on the stadium floor after I threw it down and then rammed my cowbell on top of it ten times.

It's very classy of you to keep recording it and then to share it with all of us.

Mike Wilhelm said...

Thanks for the comments...lots of cowbells, too. I also loved the weather sirens, being a weather guy...

Gratefuldawg...thanks for the comment....Now if we had been 9-0 headed into this game.....

Watch the referee in the middle of the field around the :17 mark. He's running pretty fast!!

Thanks so much for sharing! I was there, but I won't get tired of watching it. Have been going to MSU games since 1953, and this one was special. As the other poster said, thanks for capturing and sharing even though you didn't have to.

Thanks for posting this video. I'm part of the white mass of Famous Maroon Bandmembers on the sideline waiting for halftime in the video. I have never before experienced a moment like that at Scott Field in my five years in the band and I really appreciate you filming it for so long. I didn't actually get to see the play (too many people in front) but I heard and felt Johnson and the Alabama players go thundering by right in front of us.

Thank you sir.

Thank you SO much for giving us this gift !!! I haven't missed a game in forever, but as luck would have it on Nov. 10 I had a family wedding...in Alabama of all places. I was dying to know how loud it was at Scott Field without me there to cheer them on, and now I know. It was awesome - and now I will never lump all fans from another team together again. You are a special person. Thanks again for making it possible to enjoy this moment .

I tried to post a response to everyone of you who commented, but my connection crashed and I lost it. Suffice it to say that I have been overwhelmed by your positive feedback. I am glad you all enjoyed the clip and I appreciate you taking the time to show your appreciation!

Mike,

In have a question. Can you post your email address or email me?

Thanks soooo much for sharing that video with us. We were in Sec W, endzone, and I honestly do not even remember us kicking the extra point. I felt like I was there all over again!

Mike Wilhelm said...

Sure...I posted it by your other comment, cholly... it is mikewx2 @yahoo.com

Mike you are a shining example of a fellow sports fan. I couldn’t be there and appreciate you bringing it to me. They loved it in the MSU chat room; and you can probably sell CD’s of this to MSU fans to make a few extra dollars. I’d buy one. Good luck with Auburn. Thanks, George

Are you sure these are 2007 Dawgs and not 1907 Dawgs?! It's about time we pulled something out of the 'old' playbook! I enjoyed this, thanks

gfrbulldog...not a bad idea...I should think about that
